Good match to watch and very competitive, sometimes even nearly combative. Many real positives to come from this, as a team we played well, Gary though playing within himself contributed a huge amount and his influence can't be underestimated, good to see him back. Alex worked very hard deserving his goal plus assist, he kept them so nervous at the back they committed 2 men to mark him even when they had to chase the game, this stopped them getting pressure on us at throw-outs and made space for us both in midfield and on the flanks. Steve P worked his socks of and was more effective when playing further up field linking with Alex & whichever wingback was attacking and got his goal. Ed’s fingertip save onto the bar was brilliant and worth a goal at the other end, he kept us in it when we lost composure for 5 mins after halftime. Special mention though to both Chris and Mike who had a cracking game both in defence and attack disciplined and aware in fact possibly Mikes best performance in a Yellow shirt.
